Literally "across the Tiber" — and crossing that river has always meant stepping into a different Rome. Cobblestone streets, ivy-covered facades, the sound of a guitar somewhere in the distance. Trastevere is Rome at its most photogenic and most alive, from aperitivo to well past midnight.
