Hours
Saturday only, 9:00–13:00.
Open only on Saturday mornings, this private palazzo has been in the Colonna family since the Middle Ages. The gallery — one of the largest privately owned in Rome — is draped in red damask, lined with old masters, and lit by chandeliers the size of small cars. It feels like being invited into someone's very grand home. Because you are.
Our take
“Book online — tickets sell out. Ask for the room with the ceiling fresco of the Battle of Lepanto. Stand under it and look up for as long as you can.”
